We had the pleasure of having the whole family at our house over a weekend!!!!! Wish it could have lasted longer........
This was the most fabulous mushroom tart I have ever tasted! Local Virginia mushrooms were cooked to perfection then combined with a butter/cream sauce with chives.......plus some garlic!!!!Thursday, September 16, 2010

To the eye this is just an ordinary iced coffee......but in reality it is a Cocoachino!!!!!!! Mexican cocoa, chocolate, cinnamon, and oodles of other spices make this an out-of-this-world treat!!!!!!
Love this place! 3 stories of fun, old, unique things!
I guess that is what an antique store usually is.......

The house my Great Grandparents lived in for 56 years! My Grandfather grew up in this home and I spent many years coming here for visits!
The driveway is exactly the same as I remember it.....the only thing missing is Great Grandma Win to welcome us!
Out in the country to go visit the Walnut Grove Farm where my Great Grandmother spent her summers spending time with her cousins and helping at the farm
I guess I like randomness....
The next stop was visiting Uncle Jim and Aunt Sandy
They gave us a tour of Madison and a delicious Italian dinner on the bay!
Stephen: "oh...honey I think that is a fish...."
Katie: "no that is a rat......"
(please note that I was standing 20 ft away from the creature)
Stephen: "no honey...really...come look...it is a fish...."
Katie: "oh....okay......you are right honey......shall we keep walking?"
It was so charming and peaceful at night! Everyone was either walking, talking on the porch, sitting in a restaurant drinking coffee, visiting or asleep!
